Course Overview:
Accuracy, control, and confidence form the foundation of all skilled handgun work. In this course students build proper fundamentals including grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control, and recoil management. These fundamentals are directly tied to defensive performance and prepare students for the remaining sessions in the Defensive Pistol Series.
You will learn how to stabilize the handgun, manage recoil, and deliver consistent hits with purpose. Whether you are new or seeking a structured reset, this course establishes the base you will build on for concealment work, speed, precision, and defensive response.
What to Wear:
Range-appropriate clothing
Closed-toe shoes
High-collar shirts
What to Bring:
Eye and ear protection
Snacks and water or other means of rehydrating (quick, easy to eat brain-fueling snacks recommended)
Handgun if you own one (rentals are available)
100-150 rounds of FMJ ammunition; more is advised if possible.
Ammunition is available for purchase at the range.
If renting, ammo is $25 per box.
2-3 magazines
