Participant Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Risks:

By participating in activities hosted by Tactical Education & Defense, LLC, I acknowledge that I am aware of and accept the risks associated with firearms training, CPR, and self-defense instruction, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, property damage, and the potential for death. I understand these risks may arise from my own actions or inactions, those of others participating in the event, or the conditions in which the event takes place.

Liability Release and Indemnification:

​

In consideration of being allowed to participate in these activities, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Tactical Education & Defense, LLC, along with its affiliates, officers, employees, and volunteers (hereafter referred to as “Releasees”) from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, or causes of action that I may have for injuries or damages arising out of my participation in Tactical Education & Defense, LLC activities, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise.

I further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, brought as a result of my involvement in Tactical Education & Defense, LLC activities and to reimburse them for any such expenses incurred.

This release is binding on my heirs, successors, and assigns. If any part of this agreement is deemed to be void, this will have no effect on the remainder of this agreement.

Firearm Handling and Damage Waiver:

​

I understand that Tactical Education & Defense, LLC offers firearm cleaning services but is not a professional gunsmithing establishment. I agree to hold Tactical Education & Defense, LLC, including its owners, employees, and agents, harmless for any damage that may occur to my firearm(s) during the cleaning process, malfunction clearance, or usage..

I acknowledge that while Tactical Education & Defense, LLC will handle my firearm(s) with the utmost care, there are inherent risks associated with handling and cleaning firearms. In the event of accidental damage, I agree not to hold Tactical Education & Defense, LLC responsible for repair costs or loss of value.

Safety and Health Acknowledgment:

​

I agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including safety guidelines established by Tactical Education & Defense, LLC. I commit to following all instructions provided by Tactical Education & Defense, LLC staff and to act in a manner that ensures the safety of myself and others.

I acknowledge the ongoing risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic and agree to adhere to all public health guidelines and Tactical Education & Defense, LLC policies related to COVID-19. I accept all risks associated with exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases as a result of my participation in Tactical Education & Defense, LLC activities.

Emergency Medical Treatment:

​

In the event of an injury or illness, I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary by Tactical Education & Defense, LLC personnel or other emergency responders. I understand that I am responsible for all costs related to such medical care and emergency transport.

Media Release:

​

I agree that Tactical Education & Defense, LLC may photograph or video my participation in activities for lawful purposes, including but not limited to publicity, marketing, and web content. If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I will notify Tactical Education & Defense, LLC staff before participating in the event.

Range Rules and Safety Guidelines – Firearm Related Coursework:

​

By participating in any activities at Tactical Education & Defense, LLC, I agree to adhere to the following range rules and safety guidelines:

​

1. Compliance with Laws: I will follow all applicable federal, state, and local firearm laws and regulations during all activities.

2. Firearm Safety: I will treat all firearms as if they are loaded at all times. I will ensure the muzzle is always pointed in a safe direction, preferably downrange, and will keep my finger off the trigger and outside the trigger guard until ready to shoot.

3. Target Awareness: I will maintain awareness of my target and what is beyond it to ensure safe discharge of firearms.

4. Hearing and Eye Protection: I will wear appropriate ear and eye protection at all times while on the range.

5. Following Instructions: I will immediately obey all commands and instructions issued by Tactical Education & Defense, LLC staff.

6. Supervision of Minors: Children under 18 must be accompanied and closely supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

7. Cease Fire: Upon hearing “Cease Fire,” I will stop all shooting immediately and await further instructions.

8. Hygiene: I will wash my hands thoroughly after shooting and/or handling firearms.

9. No Unauthorized Materials: I will not bring food, gum, tobacco, or any illegal substances to the range.

10. Respect for Equipment and Facility: I will handle all range equipment and facilities with care and report any unsafe conditions or activities to staff immediately.

11. Pregnancy: Pregnant or nursing mothers are advised against participating in range activities due to potential risks.

12. Physical Requirements: I confirm that I am physically capable of standing for extended periods and can manage the weight of firearms safely during activities.

13. Reporting Incidents: I will immediately report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe behavior to range staff.

14. Personal Responsibility: I acknowledge that I am personally responsible for my safety and the safety of others around me. I agree to abide by all range rules and understand that failure to comply may result in my expulsion from the range.

By adhering to these rules, I contribute to a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants at Tactical Education & Defense, LLC.

Acknowledgment of Understanding:

I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement, fully understand its terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to provide a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
