Shipping Policy

Tactical Education & Defense, LLC

Tactical Education & Defense, LLC (“T.E.D.,” “we,” “us”) ships a wide range of defensive tools, tactical accessories, edged tools, optics, and related goods. We do not sell firearms yet. This policy explains what we ship, where we ship, and important legal duties you must acknowledge before purchase.

Key service points (short)

  • We do not offer local pickup or local delivery. All orders are shipped via USPS or UPS only (we no longer use FedEx).

  • We do not ship to U.S. territories. We ship to the 50 U.S. states only (excluding territories).

  • No ammunition sales or shipments to California or New York.

  • If shipment is refused or returned due to legal restrictions, the customer will not receive a refund. The customer may pay shipping at their own expense to have the item redirected/returned; otherwise the items are forfeited.

  • Customers must confirm they are legally allowed to purchase/receive any item before ordering and must indemnify T.E.D. (see certification below).

 

1. Processing & carriers

  • Orders generally fulfill within 5–7 business days after inventory confirmation.

  • Carriers: USPS and UPS (item eligibility determines which carrier we use). We do not use FedEx.

  • Tracking info provided by email when shipped. Insurance/signature recommended for high-value items.

 

2. No local pickup / no local delivery

  • We removed all local pickup and local delivery options. All orders ship through USPS or UPS.

 

3. No territories

​​

  • We do not ship to U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands).

 

4. Restricted items & special rules (high level)

  • Firearms: not sold at this time. When we begin firearms sales, all firearms will ship only to a verified FFL and in strict compliance with federal and state law.

  • Ammunition: no sales/shipments to California or New York. Ammunition will not be shipped to P.O. Boxes where prohibited. Some other states have special rules (background checks, purchase permits); see the table below. World Population Review+1

  • Magazines / capacity limits: we enforce magazine capacity limits per destination state and will cancel/refund orders that cannot be lawfully shipped.

  • Knives / OTF / Automatic knives: we will not ship automatic/switchblade/OTF knives where federal/state law or vendor policy prohibits interstate commerce; federal law limits interstate sale/commerce of certain automatic knives and many states have their own restrictions. Specific vendor restriction: Krate Tactical OTFs will not be shipped to CA or NY (and you noted MN & IL also blocked for Krate items). 

  • Pepper spray / defensive aerosols & stun devices: some jurisdictions ban shipment or impose size/strength limits. IMPORTANT: pepper spray cannot be shipped to Alaska, Washington D.C., Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands; some other states allow ground-service only or have size limits.

 

5. Customer certification & indemnification

 

By placing an order you certify and agree that:

  1. You are solely responsible for confirming that the item(s) you buy are legal for purchase, possession, and use in your state and local jurisdiction.

  2. You have independently verified legality and procured any required permits or credentials prior to ordering.

  3. You release, indemnify, and hold T.E.D. harmless from any liability, claims, fines, or penalties arising from your purchase, possession, shipment, transport, or use of purchased item(s).

  4. If shipment is refused or returned because your local law prohibits delivery, you will not receive a refund; you must either pay shipping to have the goods shipped elsewhere or accept forfeiture.

 

6. Returns & refused shipments

  • Returns are accepted only when the return reason is T.E.D. error or a defective product; customers pay return shipping unless error is ours.

  • If a shipment is refused or returned because of legal restrictions at the destination, we will not refund the sale price. The customer forfeits the merchandise unless they pay for any redirection/return shipping.

 

7. Amendments & legal disclaimer

  • This policy may be updated at any time; the posted “Last updated” date controls.

  • This policy is informational and is not legal advice. Customers should consult counsel or local authorities with questions about their jurisdiction’s rules.
