Course Overview:
The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course prepares healthcare professionals and responders for cardiac and respiratory emergencies. Students practice single- and team-rescuer techniques, AED use, and airway management to earn their AHA BLS Provider Certification.
Who should take this course?
The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Note: Unless you need First Aid, the General Public can also take this course.
What to Wear:
Comfortable attire for performing CPR skills
Closed toe shoes
Crew neck or high collar shirts such as a polo or button up
What to Bring:
Snacks and water
Additional Notes:
Successful completion of the written assessment and practical skill assessment performance as required by curriculum to pass
