Service Description
Course Overview: The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities. The Basic Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses. *This instructor-led course is vital if your goal is to become an instructor.* What to Wear: Dress for the weather if class is at an outdoor range Closed toe shoes Crew neck or high collar shirts such as a polo or button up What to Bring: Handgun (if you own one) 50–100 rounds of FMJ ammunition Eye and ear protection Note taking materials Snacks and water Additional Notes: No live firearms or ammunition in the classroom Successful completion of the written assessment and practical live fire performance as required by curriculum to pass Unless otherwise noted, range fees are not included
