Service Description
*This course qualifies for training towards Florida Concealed Weapons Permit.* Course Overview: This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. *This instructor-led course is vital if your goal is to become an instructor.* What to Wear: Dress for the weather if class is at an outdoor range Closed toe shoes Crew neck or high collar shirts such as a polo or button up What to Bring: Handgun (if you own one) 50–100 rounds of FMJ ammunition Eye and ear protection Note taking materials Snacks and water Additional Notes: Successful completion of the written assessment and practical live fire performance as required by curriculum to pass No live firearms or ammunition in the classroom Unless otherwise noted, range fees are not included
